Thanks to all the Web 2.0 tools; musings 2008.

12/29/08, 5:52am.
Wow, its almost the end of 2008. Hard to believe another year has gone by. 2008 has been a rough year, as well as a historic year, for America. One could say that 2008 is the year that America "got ganked".
Refer:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ganked
Definition no.6.

Consider:
Wall Street meltdown.
The historic election of Barrack Obama
Mumbai terrorist attacks

As the year winds down to a close, I am sure that most of u readers are happy that its coming to an end. After all, 2009 cant be worse. Its got to be better!

I have just started reading a book called "How to cheat yoru friends at poker", by Penn Jillette, and Mickey Lynn. (St. Martins Press, 2005). I picked up a perfectly good copy at my favorite resale store (Goodwill @ Westend, right next to the Wamu Bank) for a buck fifty. I like the writing style, and the theme of the book seems appropriate for the times. Which is not an altogether good thing.

From the preface, which is called a "Disclaimer":
"The only way you can be sure y'our not getting cheated is if you're doing all the cheating and all the winning". I am sure that Wall Street can relate to that.

Anything short of that in poker, and u are the fish. There are only two kinds of players in every game, the shark and the fish. If u arent sure that you're the shark that's there to get money, you're a fish thats there to lose money".

I have decided that the only way for me to complete this book I have in mind "The UC guide to survival and success" is to start writing to my blog, every day starting at around this time. Atleast, I can get a full hours worth of writing done, and God knows how many pages I can write during that time. Its quite ez to keep track with Blogger and such tools out there.

I believe that America, with its pioneering spirit, is going to emerge stronger than before. The excesses of the 80s and 90s are behind us, and now its B2B, or back to basics.
